I decided to review this book based on the fact that I do have a tendency to be hot tempered and with the impending birth of my first child I knew I needed to get this under control. While my husband may understand if I snap at him, a small child will not and the last thing I wanted to do was hurt my son’s feelings just because I was in a bad mood! This book is a valuable resource for anyone with anger issues, be they relatively minor or severe. Let’s face it, we can all learn better anger management techniques and the workbook format of this book allows everyone to address their individual strengths and weaknesses. This is a very valuable resource for anyone.

I love Amish romance books. I am completely addicted to them, and always jump at the chance to review them. This book had a nice refreshing twist, by incorporating an unplanned pregnancy into the mix Ms. Wiseman not only addresses and interesting element to the Amish/English relationship but also confronts a very real problem in today’s society. I have already read the first two parts to this series, and it was refreshing to catch up with some of the past characters as well. This is a very engaging book and I would recommend it to anyone that is a fan of the genre.

This book is written in an encyclopedia type format, with several different Biblical stories and characters detailed. I found this book to be a very helpful resource for navigating some of the more confusing aspects of the Bible. While many things were covered, I do wish there had been a little more detail. But it is a good resource nonetheless. This book would be especially helpful for a new Christian.

Author: Steve Economides and Annette Economides

I jumped at the chance to review this book. The timing was great, in that my husband and I had just been talking about how important it was for us to get our new baby to be off on the right foot financially. My husband is great with finances, me not so much and it is a problem I have struggled with for years. It is important for me that my son grow up and learn how to spend smartly and not run up a lot of credit cards and debt. This book is a great resource, no matter what age your children are. While some of the suggestions may be a little detailed and intense, I think they are defiantly doable. Not sure how difficult it would be to implement with older children, but I can’t imagine it would be too bad. I highly recommend this book.

Katherine is a young widow trying to heal from a bad marriage while running her husband’s families company, something that is unheard of in the early 20th century. Her family is completely against her becoming a businesswoman, and her father comes to Florida along with her childhood friend to drag her back to the family estate. Katherine agrees to go, more to appease her family as well as get much needed funds for her business. While there she must deal with her overbearing mother and her neighbor who believe they know what is best for her, and those plans involve a husband. But what is God’s plan for Katherine? And how does her childhood friend Andrew play into that plan?

I enjoyed this book but I must say I HATED the parents. The mother was so grating and overbearing I want to shake her! Had I been in the situation I would never have agreed to go back home to deal with the hateful woman! I would have to say the author did a great job writing the story, since the mother caused such a reaction in me. I was able to get really caught up in the story. I enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down.

Faithful to Laura is the story of a young Amish woman scarred from a recent attack by someone she though loved her. As a result of her injuries and loss, she has become bitter and focuses on revenge. While recovering she meets Sawyer, who was raised Amish by his adoptive parents, he is trying to decide the path to hiss future. Does he stay with the Amish he has come to think of as family or does he enter the English world. While he is struggling with his decision and unexpected person arrives which may complicate his decision further.

This is a great book. I read it quickly, because I become really engrossed in the story. It had so many different plot twists than the typical Amish books I love. I really appreciated the fact that the heroine was struggling with forgiveness, because this seems to be something that is freely given in most Amish books due to the nature of their religion. I always wonder however, is it harder for some to forgive? I would recommend this book to anyone who loves this genre.

This is a great study guide. I found myself being drawn into it and it was really difficult to put it down. I wanted to complete the whole thing in one setting! I find that deciphering prophecy for me is both really interesting and frustrating, since the abstract concepts are difficult for a detail oriented person like me. This book really helps me to understand the complex ideas. This would make an excellent book in my opinion for a small group study, or for a family study. The book contains 12 lessons which are designed to be completed in one hour or less, which makes it perfect for people in today’s busy world! I highly recommend this book!

Since my husband and I are expecting our first baby I jumped at the chance to review a book to give us guidelines to raise our baby to love God and be an active and devoted Christian. This book is a great resource. While this book is not a step by step guide, the author states that the Bible is the only guidebook that is really needed. This book serves as suggestions and tips. A great book for parents!

I found this book very dry and hard to read. I am a fairly new Christian and so I jump at the chance to review anything that will further my knowledge of the Bible but this was hard to follow. It could be the fact that I really don’t have that much knowledge about the subject matter, but it was a difficult read nonetheless.

This is the story of a young Amish girl, Rachel, and the means by which she falls in love with a young man her father hires to help around the farm, Jordan. At first the two don’t mesh, but with a little angelic intervention they might just fall in love!

I love Amish fiction, so when I saw this book I jumped at the chance to review it. I enjoyed the story, but the addition of the angel storyline was something new to me. At first I wasn’t sure, since one of the reasons I love Amish fiction is it is so grounded in reality and speaks of a simpler way of life. By adding the angel story line this sort of served as a distraction for me since it added a fantasy element that is unusual in these books. That being said, it did work for this book. This is the second book in a series so I will probably go back and read the first book just so I can understand some of the characters a little better.
